We are a quarter of the way done & baby is the size of a PRUNE today!!! :) Getting to 10 weeks has been a *huge* goal in my mind - not sure why exactly, but there's something about now being in the double digits that makes me feel like things are going well. We have our last early US appointment on Thursday this week, just to check baby's growth & FHR...then starting next week, we'll be on the "normal" pre-natal visit schedule. Cory and I decided to have the Nucal Translucency screening done - so we'll have a 4-D US done (and some blood work) through the MFM office at St. V's to screen for Down's Syndrome & Trisomy 13 & 18 sometime between 11 - 14 weeks. And while we're considered a very LOW RISK couple (since I'm under 35 and we have no family history of birth defects or genetic disorders) we both agree that knowledge is power....and it will be nice to see our baby again. Cory and I can't wait until we're far enough along to find out if we're having a boy or a girl - and as soon as we find out, it's going to be hard to not go crazy & start decorating the nursery! We are working -in small steps- to clear more and more things out of the nursery, so once we're safely into the 2nd trimester, we can really start getting it ready for the baby.
