Owen's first trip to the ER :(

Last night we made the decision to take Owen to the ER. He's not been feeling well for most of the week - but there was a noticeable change in his behavior last night. He was refusing to eat, projectile vomiting and unable to go to sleep b/c he was so uncomfortable.

After we saw the doctor, he had an abdominal x-ray taken which was (thankfully) negative for anything serious, but showed some hard stool and lots of gas build up. They think what is likely going on is that Owen has a GI virus and constipation. So, we were able to give him some zofran to help with the vomiting, mylicon to help with the gas and pedialyte to keep him hydrated - all of which seem to be helping.

Here he is at about 1am, finally sleeping in the ER :(

Today, he seems better! Still not quite back to normal and still having lots of hyperactive bowel sounds & gas, but he's been able to keep most of his fluids & some puffs down. Yes....that is the mylicon bottle :)

My momma came down this morning to help us out - and it was SO nice to have her here. Owen lit up when she walked in and enjoyed all the Gma snuggles! Momma helped us with the dishes & laundry, played with Owen while we rested and even made us dinner - THANK YOU SO MUCH MOMMA!!!! It was a rough night for all of us - but as you can see in this picture, Owen's feeling better for sure (although mommy is still looking awfully rough, ha!) and that is all that matters.

A big thank you to our friends for the prayers & support you gave us - especially Pastor & Sarah Mills :) We love you all!

Poor guy, I hope he's feeling better now! He looks so sweet and peaceful sleeping in the ER. (BTW - Mr. Seahorsey is a favorite in our house!)
