The Decorations are Up!

Welcome to Christmas at Riverwood Drive!
This year, we purchased our wreath from Allisonville Nursery and the aroma of real pine in the cool, crisp air is wonderful!

Our tree is a Fraiser Fir which also came from the Allisonville Nursery. This is by far the best Christmas tree we've ever had! The needles are soft & smooth and the branches are strong enough to hold some of our heavier ornaments.

This is our new tree skirt which we had to order this year. The pattern matches our stockings! We keep all our decorations packed away in a storage unit during the year, well, something happened this past year where (most likely due to temperature changes) one of my snow-globes ruptured and leaked all it's fluid into the storage bin and the moisture caused mold & mildew growth, so thankfully we had already purchased new stockings...and then a new tree skirt!

No fireplace to hang our stockings over yet, so until then, this works!

This is an ornament that is a new family tradition started by my sister & her husband.

Here is our table centerpiece for this year.

A few of our other decorations...a Hallmark limited edition ornament tree (each ornament represents a traditional Christmas hymn or song), the two signs that are stacked on top of each other were purchased in South Haven, MI at a special little store that is tucked away down a side road and then the snow-globe (that made it!) that Cory gave me last year.

And last, but not least, my favorite holiday decoration is our nativity scene designed by Demdaco who does all the Willow Tree Lane figurines that I collect.

We hope that the spirit of the season warms your house as it has ours!
