On Saturday, the three of us braved the snow & cold weather to drive up to Warsaw and do a family Christmas with the White side of my family. We weren't able to go last year because the family had it early and unfortunately it conflicted with my turning in of final Purdue grades and participating in the Purdue December graduation ceremony.
We started off the day at my parents house, just the five us. Mom & Dad set up the baby bouncer and Owen gave it a try - here's a video of him testing it out:
Then shortly after, it was time to head over to my Grandma & Grandpa White's house (which thankfully is in the same neighborhood as my parents) for the big family Christmas get together. For a few members of the family, it was their first time meeting Owen!
Here we are opening up gifts - shortly after this picture, he fell asleep in my arms (which he rarely does now) and that made for a very happy mommy!

Owen and his Great Uncle Eric just relaxing together! Eric has 3 girls - all of which are well beyond the diapers stage, so he had fun holding him until he got fussy :)
Great Grandma White and Owen - this is her first grandson in 17 years, the rest have all been girls! Owen was so sweet with GG White, he just cuddled and watched her the whole time.

It was SUCH a fast trip but a good one. I can't remember the last time so many of our family members were together like that! Leslie and Grant were very much missed, especially by Cory and I, but we are so thankful for the time we had together in early December. Owen did great on the drive home - which is a first :) I wish I would have taken more pictures of our Warsaw day, but the time got away from me. So now we're all back home and looking forward to another 3-day-weekend with Cory and celebrating New Years together...I wonder what 2010 will have in store for the Three Alberts?!
