This past weekend, two of my dear cousins asked Cory and I if they could come down for a visit....my answer, OF COURSE! So, on Saturday Brittany drove from Haslett, MI to Warsaw, IN to meet up with Nate, then they drove Nate's car (with no A/C) from Warsaw, IN to Westfield. Those of you who have had a stay at the "Albert's Abode" know that we love our A/C and keep our house a bit chilly, so when they arrived you could almost see steam coming off their heads! After doing the grand tour we promptly donned our swimming gear and headed off to the Centennial neighborhood pool. This was our first visit to the pool, so I wasn't sure what to expect as far as size & crowds. The pool was great! It was bigger than we had anticipated, had 2 lifeguards (although with Nate being an Auburn University swimmer we felt very safe, hehehe) and a fenced in kiddie pool for all the little ones. We swam for about 2 hours, make some jokes about the pool being fish-free (since we're usually swimming in lake) and worked up an appetite for dinner!
We headed back home and storms rolled in. We had just enough time to grill our BBQ chicken & corn on the cob before the worst hit. Nate, despite his build, has a never ending appetite, so we

made sure to have plenty of food on hand...BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, garlic parmesan flat bread, salad, and mac-n-cheese (in honor of our dearly missed cousin, Jason who LOVED the stuff). Nate's mom Wendy, makes amazing cream cheese brownies and was kind enough to send down a batch, so after dinner we had our fill of the best brownies ever! The rest of Saturday evening was spent playing

wii sports, mario party 8 and mario cart. They boys stayed up till almost 1am, while Brittany and I crashed around 11:30p.
On Sunday, I made everyone a yummy French toast breakfast before we broke out the boardgames. Brittany and I took on Cory and Nate in a round of Cranium, where sadly the boys beat us.....I feel a rematch coming up in a few weeks! We had been talking

about a lot about the St. Fair through the morning and somehow ended up on the topic of fair food, so when lunch time rolled around there was only one place to take them to match the yummy deliciousness of the oh-so-good fair food...Mug -n- Bun! We played Crazy 8's (our family's traditional card game) while waiting on our hot dogs & root beers and had a great time.
