Today we had our 8 week ultrasound - we weren't sure what to expect. There has been spotting in the past week, but it hasn't been too bad. Our baby has looked like a little blob in the past, and we weren't expecting to see much more. Boy were we in for a surprise!
You can see our baby fairly clear! Baby Albert has arm and leg buds and best of all, it moved!!! We definitely were not expecting that. There are moments in life you'll never forget - and this one is up there for us! Everything looks "perfect" according to our OB, and there is no bleeding coming from the uterus - only from the outside of the cervix. It's early, so anything can still happen, but I was so proud to see our baby have arms and legs and move!
The heartrate was in the 160's, which is right were it should be, and measured exactly 8 weeks and 1 day. Our OB said that most miscarriages happen within the first 8 weeks, so he's extremely optimistic. Our next ultrasound will be next Thursday. We appreciate all the prayers that we've been getting - keep them coming :)
